IVM in Mexico
At Instituto Mexicano de Infertilidad (IMI), we understand that every fertility journey is unique. For patients who wish to avoid heavy hormone stimulation or who are at risk for ovarian hyperstimulation, In-Vitro Maturation (IVM) offers a safer, more natural alternative to traditional IVF.
With IVM, immature eggs are gently collected from the ovaries and matured in IMI’s advanced embryology lab before fertilization—reducing discomfort, cost, and medical risk while maintaining strong pregnancy success rates.
IMI proudly offers IVM in Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, making it an ideal option for patients from the U.S., Canada, and across Latin America seeking advanced fertility treatment with minimal intervention.
Gentle, Effective Fertility Care for Natural Balance
What Is IVM?
In-Vitro Maturation (IVM) is a fertility treatment that allows eggs to mature outside the body instead of through intensive hormonal stimulation.
Unlike standard IVF, which requires 10–12 days of high-dose injections, IVM uses little or no stimulation medication. The retrieved eggs are then cultured and matured in the laboratory using IMI’s proprietary media formulations.
Once matured, the eggs are fertilized through ICSI or PICSI, and the resulting embryos are transferred back into the uterus.
Benefits of IVM
- 🌿 Lower hormone exposure — gentle or no ovarian stimulation.
- 💛 Safer for PCOS patients — eliminates risk of OHSS.
- 💸 Reduced cost — fewer medications and monitoring visits.
- 🕊️ Faster treatment cycle — ideal for urgent fertility preservation.
- 👶 Strong success rates with IMI’s lab technology.
